To earn a play, or "spin" of his new song, Wally gave Brandon Heath a challenge that got a little messy.
Wally loves giving Brandon Heath a hard time for the way he sang "Livin' On A Prayer" in a concert once, but it's getting a little old. So Brandon came in and softened up another classic rock song for us.

Hopefully I typed fast enough to get this to you on time.
Wally,
I was listening on my trip to work and extremely intrigued by the conversation asking for people to call in and put their two cents in about the show. I am typing fast to try and put my opinion out there before the show ends. Here it goes…
I am so thankful for your show. In my spiritual walk I have gone through many seasons of extravagant faith and times of destitute. The truth is that Jesus did not preach of this pendulum kind of faith. However, we spend much of our walks trying to be religious and impressing God. We grow bored in our vein efforts and the pendulum swings far in the other direction. We run after the things of this world filling our humanity with the things of the world and keeping our Savior in a comfortable box because we do not truly understand who He is.
As I have grown and been formed in the image of Christ he has laid the conviction of a true Christian walk on my heart. The chains of legalism and religiosity have been severed and I have been able to experience true freedom. As I have traversed across the country I have listened to so many Christian stations that have that holier than thou sound. I will be listening to a song and really be getting into a state of worship when the announcer tunes in with their, I am so meek and mild, listen to how humble I am, kind of voice. What a joke. People do not talk like that twenty-four hours a day. But they will put on a mask for their listening audience. Let’s be honest, God is not going to be impressed by that nonsense.
The Wally show, as you will attest too, is not bound by a false belief in appearances. More importantly, Jesus is not impressed with our religiosity nor are the lost interested in having to completely remake their lives. Yes, when the lost are saved by Grace they will die and become a new person. The bible does not say that they have to completely cast off all the things in their life that have formally brought them joy. We were created in the image of God and He personally formed us in the womb. The bible talks about how they will be remade with joy, peace, love, humility, and patience. I have not come across the part of the new covenant that talks legalism that prevents you from enjoying life in humor and fun. The truth is that Jesus wants to do everything with us in our lives and that is the true walk of a believer and that is what I have found in this show. No one is going to get to heaven and be told by God, “sorry I cannot let you in because you were so filled with my Son that you took him everywhere you went. Remember that you kept enjoying to play tennis after you asked Him into your life and the two of you kept going to the tennis court and showing the lost how freeing a life with Jesus can be. You see, you were supposed to sit in a room with other believers and try and sound religious.” That is not going to happen!
I sure hope that this makes people upset. And in their frustration I hope that they get into their bibles and meditate on how Jesus walked while on this earth. Wally, please keep doing what you are doing. Keep walking the walk that has been set for you.
This is well known that cash can make people free. But how to act when somebody has no money? The only one way is to receive the loans and term loan.
Wally is always bothering Brandon about being dating
I was sick in bed and couldn't sleep so I turned on the radio.I tuned into the wally show, and I have to say the interview and the gargling episode really brought me some much needed laughter . I like Brandon and he really was a good sport about everything. Thanks for laughs .God blessed me this early morning .I am still sick ,but the laughter was some good ole medicine for me God Bless,Steven
I missed this when it aired on my radio but I have to say I am glad I watched it after the fact. First of all Wally I have always enjoyed you I love your honesty, confidence, and shortfalls; oh your also really funny! I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised on how quick and easy going Brandon was and how well you guys interacted- it was a great pep/break in between working on school work, so thank you! Keep it going~
p.s.:I do have to say slightly surprised once you found out Brandon was single that you didn't try and get him a blind date/ do a dating show for him
I was listening this morning when you spoke about the lady who complained that your show was not serious enough. There are plenty of those types of programs out there for those who can not let themselves enjoy life as it was meant to be lived. I for one, appreciate your humor and honesty. Keep doing what you are doing, you are reaching those that would not listen to the stuffy Christian holier than thou stations. Love you guys!
